Bonjour!!! Sharing my final pics from my mini France travel series with one of my absolute favorite cities – Paris! It’s one of those places that I love to visit over and over again. There are so many things that come to mind when I think of Paris…. picnics by the Effiel Tower, casual strolls through the immaculate gardens,  sightseeing at all the top attractions…The list can go on and on but I’ll truly never forget my first time seeing the iconic Effiel Tower. I remembered turning a corner and suddenly having a “pinch me” kind of moment when I first laid eyes on the majestic structure. It’s grandiose and timeless, I couldn’t stop marveling at it! The historical monument is one of the most famous landmarks in the world and a symbol of Paris. If you have the time, you can also climb the tower to get a beautiful view of the city… I posted a pic down below. It’s an amazing experience that you have to do at least once in your life! The City of Lights is awe-inspiring, romantic, and simply magical. I am honestly sooo entranced by the lovely atmosphere of Paris so I can’t wait to come back soon! ~b 🙂

South of France – Staying in a French Villa

I’ve been lucky enough to visit the beautiful country of France twice in my life. Once was on a school trip with a handful of honor students from my university. I had the opportunity stay in a French villa in the charming village of Valence Sur Baise. We stayed in a stylish historic maison with five bedrooms and five bathrooms. The home came equipped with a grand library, chef kitchen, entertainment center, courtyard pool, etc. It was elegantly decorated as well, with a ton of collectibles and antiques. I literally felt like I was living in a museum so I was pretty much petrified of touching/breaking everything (ha!). My bedroom had a magnificent  view of the rolling countryside fields which made mornings that much better. The room was also filled with classic furnishings and had an on-suite bathroom. All these posh amenities and fancy features made my stay feel like a luxury retreat!

While in the South of France, I  had the chance to visit the nearby villages, art museums, and also the city of Toulouse! My favorite memory from my trip, however, was attending the village community feast. It’s a traditional gathering that takes place once a week in the summer. Tents are set up with live bands and scrumptious meals. The carefree atmosphere is fun and upbeat. I loved watching the locals get tipsy and dancing the night away! It was an incredible experience to have everyone come together to simply celebrate life. Overall, my sunny escape to the South of France was an idyllic vacation. The memories and adventure that I made that summer are ones I’ll always appreciate and remember. 🙂 ~b

Menton, France – The Pearl of France

A couple summers ago, I had the adventure of a lifetime while backpacking Europe. I traveled throughout the beautiful country of France and was enamored by it all! Nestled in between the mountains and the Mediterranean is a sleepy seaside town called Menton. It’s one of my absolute favorite spots on the French Riviera and has even been nicknamed, The Pearl of France.” It’s a beloved hidden gem that tourists often miss out on. A cluster of pastel homes cascade the hillside overlooking the quaint beaches. A little library is even situated on the beach which I thought was a super clever idea. I know if I was local there I would totally love sunbathing with a good book in hand! Menton also has sunny weather year-round so it’s an ideal gateway for any season. The relaxed atmosphere also makes time stand still and you feel like you are in a daydream of some sort. I loved my quick mini trip to Menton and can’t wait to come back here one day to explore more of this charming village! 🙂 ~b

Magnolia Plantation & Gardens // A Day Trip

Hi guys! Spring is in the air, literally! The weather has been warming up in the South which puts me in the mood for sunshine, florals, and pastels. Therefore a blog post filled with greenery and garden pics seems naturally fitting for today. Enjoy!

Nestled in north Charleston is the beautiful lush grounds of the Magnolia Plantation and Gardens. Plantations are such an integral part of Southern history that I think it’s a must do if you are visiting the area! Spanish moss trees & vibrant blooms dominate the foregrounds of this tranquil riverside setting. Magnolia Plantation and Gardens is the oldest public tourist site in Lowcountry and the oldest public gardens in America. It opened its doors to visitors in 1870.

During my visit, I was quite impressed by the property. The expansive plantation puts a huge emphasis on the natural setting with a wildlife area, botanical gardens, swamp lakes, etc. I think it’s safe to say that there’s definitely plenty to see here! I also took a walk-through tour of the historic home. It was built in 1676 and amazingly has survived so many historical events. To this day, after 15 generations, the plantation still remains under the control of the Drayton family. I highly recommend adding this pit stop to your checklist of places to see in Charleston because it’s very well worth it! ~bBeInspireful - Magonlia Plantation 1BeInspireful - Magonlia Plantation 5BeInspireful - Magonlia Plantation 4BeInspireful - Magnolia Plantation 7BeInspireful - Magonlia Plantation 9BeInspireful - Magonlia Plantation 6

Winter Day in Charleston

Even in the dead of the winter, Charleston is bursting with colors. To be honest, the city always looks and feels like spring to me. With pastel hue homes lining up the cobble street roads and warm temperature year round, it’s a sunny place to be regardless of the season. I recently visited with my family/friends from California and they were charmed by the culture here! We ventured to Rainbow Row and walked along the iconic Battery. Although it was not my first time, I always love exploring the idyllic neighborhoods. There always seems to be something new tucked away on every corner! A lot of the mansions are also being renovated so buildings are constantly changing. Overall, Charleston is a nice escape from modern cities and it’s a place that truly appreciates tradition and history. ~b

Happy Tuesday, guys! Yesterday I drove down to Charleston with some family and friends for a mini day trip. So I thought what better idea then to share some photos from my last visit in the summer time!

Charleston, South Carolina is a super popular destination. Beloved by both tourists and locals, it’s well-known for its rich culture and historic charm. Exploring the historic district is a must-have and the best way to fully experience the city. Located in downtown, the South of Broad neighborhood is home to some of the most beautiful residential architecture. My absolute favorite is this posh mansion overlooking White Point Garden! It’s the perfect balance of classic and  contemporary. Nearby these fabulous estates is the famous battery. It’s a nice place to take a stroll and catch a light breeze in the hot humidity. Below are some of my top pics from my summer trip, I’ll also be posting my pictures from my winter trip in a later blog post. As always, thanks for stopping by – until next time!  🙂 ~bBeInspireful - Charleston Outfit 3BeInspireful - Charleston Outfit 2BeInspireful - Charleston Outfit 8BeInspireful - Charleston Outfit 5BeInspireful - Charleston Outfit 7BeInspireful - Charleston Outfit 10

Donating My Hair for the 1st time! // Pantene Beautiful Lengths

BeInspireful - Hair Donate 29BeInspireful - Hair Donate 24BeInspireful - Hair Donate 26BeInspireful - Hair Donate 28

Donating my hair to a cause has always been on my bucket list. On Jan. 8, 2018, I was able to cross it off! I recently chopped off  about 17 inches of my hair and donated 16 inches to the Pantene Beautiful Lengths program. Here are my before/after pictures + a video documenting my whole experience!

1.) Why Pantene?

There are so many organizations to consider when picking a charity for hair donation. All with pros and cons, but I loved that fact that Pantene offered free wigs to women battling cancer. Creating real hair wigs is a costly matter and some organizations have to charge patients a small fee to help offset the cost. However, I’m not a fan of this method because I think giving back should always come with no strings attached.

Pantene is also all about women empowering other women (#GirlPower) which I wholeheartedly support.

3.) Requirements.

To donate to the program your ponytail length has to be a minimum of 8 inches. Also no dyes, bleaches, or chemicals to the hair is accepted. In addition, your hair can have no more than 5% of gray to be consider. To learn more about Pantene’s hair donation requirements click here.

2.) Afterthought.

It takes 8 – 15 ponytails to create just one Pantene Beautiful Lengths wig, so every donation counts! If you are hesitant on donating, I encourage you to just go for it. Short hair is absolutely liberating — no regrets on my end. And overall, it just feels sooooo good knowing how impactful my hair donation can have on someone’s life. Think about it…the dead stuff that grows on your head can restore hope in someone’s heart. How beautiful is that? 🙂
